Abstract Ink Symbols on Hanging Scroll

Entry/Object ID

WH0102

Description

This hanging features bold, stylized characters that resemble ancient scripts such as oracle bone script, seal script, or experimental pictographic calligraphy. The five distinct, hand-painted black ink symbols on a paper panel form abstract shapes rather then standard modern characters, often used in contemporary minimalist shodo or symbolic art.
