Description

Substantial polished ornamental viewing stone with a rounded upright form and a warm beige-gray matrix displaying naturally occurring reddish-brown and dark mineral inclusions. The principal face features a concentrated mountain-like formation above branching horizontal and diagonal veins, while the reverse exhibits more restrained landscape-like banding. The solid stone has a flattened, ground underside and is presented on an elaborately pierced dark display stand. Its abstract imagery evokes mountainous scenery associated with Chinese pictorial viewing-stone traditions.
