Chinese porcelain snuff bottle of cylindrical form, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with densely overlapping stylized waves interrupted by larger areas of breaking, foaming surf. The sloping shoulder carries freely painted linear and foliate decoration with restrained iron-red accents. The bottle stands on a recessed foot bearing a small underglaze-blue abbreviated or stylized mark, presently unidentified but related in character to that found on SB3606, suggesting a possible shared workshop or production group.
