GL3806Description
Item 6 of 24, part of a specialized Chinese Zodiac / Auspicious Animals set. The deer pair (with item# GL3807) provides an excellent look at how the glass studio used subtle shifts in posture, gaze, and horn design to balance Yin and Yang dynamics. This item is the Yang Deer (Active, Upward, & Expressive). The head is tilted upward, pointing the snout toward the sky, with an open, dynamic neck posture. The antlers curve forward and reach upward in an aggressive, energetic crown shape. In Chinese art, an upward gaze and forward-reaching lines represent Yang. It signifies action, communication, rising energy, and connecting with the heavens.Type of Sculpture
