GL3807Description
Item 7 of 24, part of a specialized Chinese Zodiac / Auspicious Animals set. The deer pair (item #3806) offers an excellent look at how the glass studio used subtle shifts in posture, gaze, and horn design to balance Yin and Yang dynamics. This item is the Yin Deer (Contained, Reserved, & Introspective). The head is level, slightly pulled back, and faces straight ahead or slightly downward in a watchful, quiet stance. The antlers take on a completely different shape. They loop down and outward like heavy, rounded hooks or ears, keeping the profile low and compact. This self-contained, protective posture represents Yin. It embodies alertness, defense, stillness, and grounding.Type of Sculpture
