GL3811Description
Item 11 of 24, part of a specialized Chinese Zodiac / Auspicious Animals set. In Chinese art and sculpture, horses are highly symbolic, and their postures are deliberately chosen to represent opposing but complementary cosmic energies. The Yang Horse (Dynamic & Active), paired with item #3808, shows the horse dramatically rearing or prancing, with its front leg curled high up into the air in a classic high-stepping pose. A rearing or forward-moving horse is a textbook representation of Yang. It symbolizes action, power, forward momentum, vitality, and the explosive energy of the sun/heaven.Type of Sculpture
