Jane
"Jane" is an 18' Andress Skiff built in Rockport, ON.
When the TIBM received the boat from the previous owners, it had been kept in excellent structural condition, and overall the boat needed very little work, mostly cosmetic. It came with two oars in good condition and is an excellent example of a St. Lawrence built skiff from the early 20th century. It is likely that it was built after the First World War because the boat was clenched with copper nails instead of the traditional steel (steel would have been contributed to the war effort where available).Collection
