Linkanoe
Edwin Link designed the collapsible Linkanoe because he wanted something that could fit inside his Grumman Widgeon airplane. Link was an avid fisher and liked to fly to remote lakes in Canada to do so, and needed something that would fit in the limited storage space he had within the plane. The canoe is made up of numbered sections to assist in ease of assembly. The sections were then clamped together with metal clamps and covered with a treated canvas "boot" to make the hull waterproof.
Made of laminated wood, micarta plastic sheeting, metal clamps (steel?).Collection
