Marjory II
Marjory II is a 1949 Duke 21 foot motor launch. The hull construction is wooden and is comprised of 3/4 inch mahogany, butt-planked to the waterline, then lapstrake to the keel on 1-inch oak frames at 6 inch centres. Deck construction appears to be 3/4-inch mahogany strip, butt planked secured by bronze fasteners and supported by oak shelf and deck beams, protected from the elements with a marine-grade varnish. The vessel is arranged as follows: forward cuddy style storage; open cockpit with bench seat forward and helm station to port; aft is 3/4 width bench seat folloed by the centreline-mounted engine cowling; aft is a full width bench seat. The vessel is powered by a 1949 Chrsler Marine flathead type engine of 95 HP and is of the inboard configuration with a counter-balanced spade hung rudder and a fuel capacity of 22 Imperial gallons.Collection
