103Description
This two story wood frame Italianate style building was built in 1888 following the Great Fire of October 14, 1887. It has a flat roof with a two story bay window in the front and two two story bay windows on the east side. Entrance is through an original side porch on the east side of the building. The original wood clapboard siding remains in place as does the decorative trim surrounding the windows and along the roof line including decorative brackets. A later second story open porch has been added to the east side of the building.

Dr. J.M. Jonah has two new buildings completed on his Washington street lots, nearly opposite the Quoddy. The first is a two story structure with bay windows and finished for a dwelling. It is 24 feet on the front and 47 feet deep, with good celler, cistern &c. His second building, just a few feet to the east, is a large two story frame dwelling and office building. The lazge basement is also finished for two stores; size of building 35x54 feet.
