This two story wood frame house may have begun life about 1890, though the current structure appears to date to about 1905. The building does not appear on the 1889 Sanborn Map of Eastport. A small one story building labelled as a barber shop appears on the site in the 1893 Sanborn Map of Eastport. This same building is listed as vacant on the 1903 Sanborn Map of Eastport. What appears to be the current building first appears on the 1911 Sanborn Map of Eastport as a new or enlarged two story building.
