This one and a half story wood frame house likely dates to about 1850. A house appears on this site on the 1855 Map of Eastport. The house originally had a gable roof with a five bay front facing Washington Street with a center entrance that has been modified by an small extended enclosed porch. The roof of the rear of the house has been modified to allow for a full two stories of windows facing the south side of the house. The later foundation is of pressed concrete block construction and likely dates to about 1930.
