Name/Title
Patrick Whalen House | 7 Key Street, Eastport, Maine | I7-0D4-02 | District #51Entry/Object ID
051Description
This two and a half story wood frame federal style house likely dates to about 1830. The original house has a four bay front with a side entrance on the east that has been enclosed by a later porch. Later additions have been added to the west and north rear of the house. The architect for this house may have been Daniel Low who designed at least two other houses on Key Street. The house was long the residence of the Whalen family, perhaps from when the house was first built until the last Whalen descendant, Anne Whalen, died in 1986 and the house was sold outside of the family.
