From Sunrise County Architecture (2nd revised and enlarged edition) 1996, p.65:
CARRIE B. ALBEE HOUSE
This Victorian home was built for Carrie B. Albee around 1900. It stands on the corner of West and Court Streets, and has a doorway with an assymetrical projection identical to that of the Gilson House. The Albee House was built several years after the Gilson House, and the builder must have used the same plans in construction. A house on Water Street also had this unusual doorway design. The Albee House has many characteristics typical ofthe Victorian period; multicolored exterior, decorative shingles and woodwork, stained glass windows, and irregular roof lines. AFN
