A one-and-a-half story, center-door entrance, clapboarded Bulfinch-original-style residence, the Commander Walter C. Kurz House is located at 18 Elm Street. Twin shuttered windows flank each side of the front door, as well as onthe sides of both stories. There are two chimneys. There are marble fireplaces, typical mantle design. Commander Walter C. Kurz and Barbara M. Kurz purchased this house in the mid-1970s, arid at one time it was called the Peabody House. KK, WLP,
