Located on a small man-made island on the west shore of Bog Lake is this stately summer cottage, built around 1915 for Mr. Frenning of Belmont, Massachusetts. The house is constructed of local field stone, and the stone work was done by Alan Morse and other workmen, and the carpentry by Lindell Corporation. The building has a large field stone fireplace, slate roofing, a gabled roof with many cross-gables. The house had its own electric power source until the 1950s. AFN
