The Congregational Society of Marshfield acquired land for their church in March, 1872. Construction began in 1878, but the building was not completed until 1881. This gabled roofstructure has paired rectangular windows surmounted by heavy lintels, a double doorway with transom lights, and a circular window in the gable end. The bell tower has a curved sloping roof line with arches apertures. The Marshfield Congregational Church is situated on the west end of Marshfield Ridge. AFN
