Description

Harrington, Maine From Sunrise County Architecture (2nd revised and enlarged edition) 1996, p.86: ALBERT NASH HOUSE This temple style Greek Revival house was built for Albert Nash about 1855. Albert Nash was a shipbuilder and sea captain, who hauled lumber to the South on his ships. The Ionic columns on the front of the house are said to have come from the SQuth, and the window frames and doors were built aboard ship by the ship carpenters on their return trip to Harrington. This two and onehalf story wooden clapboarded residence stands as originally built except for the addition of a garage. The Nash House is located on North Street. AFN
