Cherryfield, Maine
From Sunrise County Architecture (2nd revised and enlarged edition) 1996, p.90:
WILSON HOUSE
This central chimney Cape Cod house with salt box ell may date back to the late 1700s. The ell is the earliest part of the building, and may have been moved from a farm once standing on a hill behind the Wilson House. This Cape was probably built by the Gowen Wilson family. The favorite story concerning the house is that it has been in two states (Massachusetts before Maine became a state), two counties (Lincoln County before Washington County was formed in 1789), and two towns (Cherryfield was Steuben until its incorporation in 1816). The back was a later addition. AFN
