Cherryfield, Maine
From Sunrise County Architecture (2nd revised and enlarged edition) 1996, p.94:
WASHINGTON COUNTY RAILROAD STATION
There are only two remaining railroad stations, in this county, which retain their early design -- the Cherryfield station and the Machias station, each built in 1898. This one-story gabled, one-chimney station (originally for the Washington County Railroad, but for the Maine Central Railroad after 1911, when M.C.R.R. bought the W.C.R.R.) was first extended twenty feet eastward in 1910 to accommodate a wash room and additional office space. The original platform awnings have been removed, and the passenger platforms were shortened in 1911 and again in 1953. Mail and passenger service ended in 1957, but before that Cherryfield passengers could buy tickets here to ride to Eastport, Calais or Bangor. AFN, MWZ, JCB

62. (Former) Cherryfield Railroad station, 1898 - NC Main street
The (Former) Cherryfield Railroad Station was originally constructed for the Washington County Railroad at a point about one-half mile north of its present site. It was subsequently moved to Main Street by the local historical society. The loss of this historic context accounts for its noncontributing status. It is a modest wooden frame building sheathed in weatherboards and vertical panel'ing and covered by a gable roof. Brackets and long braces support the broad overhang of the roof.
