Charles A. Allen House, c. 1875 - C Church street Charles A. Allen, ,Architect and Builder The Allen house is a two-story, three bay frame dwelling featuring a square hip roofed main block and a projecting pedimented entrance pavilion. A porch is located at the northwest corner of the facade and a three-sided bay window is attached to the west side. Pronounced brackets support the roof's broad overhang. The two-over-two windows are surmounted by a variety of bracketed hoods which are typical of Allen's work on other houses in the district. A carriage barn ell extends from the east side of the house.
