This two story mansard roof house was built in 1883 for Fremont Bibber and his wife. John Coggins was the builder. The house is remarkably intact both inside and outside and has undergone considerable restoration in recent years. There are several dormer windows on the roof part of the house and bay window on the front of the house.
• From Eastport Sentinel, September 20, 1882, p.3,c.2: “NEW HOUSES.—John N. Coggins has the frame up and boarded in for Mr. Fremont Bibber’s house on Washington street, near Mr. Jackson’s new house.
