This two and half story wood frame early Italianate style house was built in 1853. A drawing of it appears on an 1855 map of Eastport with the title of “Residence of Joseph Anderson Jr.” The original front door has been moved to a later porch addition on the north side of the house. Two later 19th century bay windows now occupy the first floor of the four bay front facade. The house has a gable roof projecting at the end of each side of the house. A Camperdown Elm tree has long stood at the southeast corner of the house.
