Description

Address: County Road Eastport, Maine From Eastport Walking Tour Brochure, 2010: 62) Yeaton House corner of Route 190 and County Road, Small Cape. This small house is also known as the Spates House. It may have belonged to the U.S. Coast Guard's first commissioned officer, Hopley Yeaton. It has been rumored Captain Yeaton stayed in this house while he had a larger house built on his farm at Seward's Neck, "Eastport on the Main," which became North Lubec when that town was incorporated.
