Original woodcut by David Wolfe based on an illustration that appeared in a Boston newspaper in 1858 that sought to portray the comparative dangers of traveling by stage on the interior Airline Road as opposed to the completing coastal route. Reportedly the negative advertising backfired and ridership on the Airline Stage went up. Original illustration is in the collections of the Tides Institute & Museum of Art. Poster designed and printed by David Wolfe as part of the Hand Line Press series of posters produced by the Tides Institute & Museum of Art. This is a limited edition of 250 copies produced in 2012.
