Robert Henry Boyd House 1856. This was formerly the site of The Eastport Washington County Artillery Academy. Winslow Bates purchased the land in 1851 and sold it to Robert Boyd in 1854. The Academy building was removed and used for the Methodist Church Vestry and parsonage. Boyd built his house in 1856. Archer & Phyllis Flagg purchased the property in 1960 and their daughter, Joan Flagg, remained there until 2019. Therefore, the house is commonly referred to as the “Flagg House”.
