The engraving is the work of Worcester & Pierce of Boston based on the work of artist, John Regan. We don't know whether the engraving was specifically done for the Eastport Sentinel.

"I have in a scrap book one of the headings of the Eastport SENTINEL for 1852 when J. W. Emery was publisher. It was got up by John Regan who was a house painter, and had considerable artistic skill. In the heading he gave a view of the town from the harbor, and thus shows the two block houses still standing. They must have been taken down soon after. ...."
