Dove
This Pinky was designed and built by Sylvester S. Baltzer in 1875. Dove a schooner rig pinky built in a extinct village Preaux, Nova Scotia. Located on the west side of Minas Basin, off the Bay of Fundy.
Owner pilot captain Cape. James George employed the Dove as a pilot boat in Eastport, Maine. Built for fishing work boat, was well known for her sailing qualities, looked and maintain like a yacht.
The dove carried about 1,100 square foot of sail in her three lower sails.
Length between perpts: 42 foot, 11 inches
Moulded beam: 12 foot 0 inch
Draft at rudder post: 6 foot 3 inches
