Signed, dated 1934 lithograph by American artist George Pearse Ennis (1884-1936) Gift of Anthony and Steven Alley, Topsfield, Massachusetts and Eastport, Maine, 2025. More well-known for his watercolors, Ennis may be best known for this stained glass window in Washington Hall, the cadet mess hall at West Point. He worked in NYC and later Maine, before dying at a result of an auto crash near Utica, just two years after he signed and dated this lithograph. His major works are held by the Art Institute of Chicago. Featuring a broken mast at sea, this piece stylistically resembles his work "Storm Stricken" currently held by the Met. Framed by APF.
