WATERFRONT, EASTPORT, C.1930! Photo from our collections that shows a view of the waterfront of Eastport, Maine. Photo dates to about 1930. An artist's easel can be seen at the left of the photo and a seated artist can be seen at the right of the photo working on a painting or drawing. Most likely the artists were part of a summer art school, based out of New York City, that operated at Eastport from 1927 to 1936.
