POMROY HOUSE, PEMBROKE, c.1900! Photo from our collections of the Pomroy House in Pembroke, Maine. Photo dates to about 1900. The main house was built by Dr. Thomas Pomroy, a native of Pembroke, in 1898 and was destroyed by fire in 1946. The separate "pool house” for billiards survived the fire and was later moved to where it continues to stand on Front Street in Pembroke.
