Jacquline DuboisDescription
Jacquline Dubois (screenprint) – This silver Passamaquoddy brooch may have been given to James A. Purinton, Indian Agent serving at Old Town, Maine between 1860 and 1864. Many tribes in northeastern United States traded furs for handcrafted silver. The double curve design used in this brooch was popular with the Penobscots and Abenakis.
