EASTPORT CUSTOMS AND POST OFFICE
This granite block building was constructed in 1890-1893, and remodelled in 1974. This structure is two stories high with a three story tower, and has an ell shaped floor plan. The tower has a window in its third story with a pedimented lintel. The building stands at the corner of Water and Washington Streets, and continues to serve as Eastport's Customs House and Post Office.

3) U. S. Customs House and Post Office (NR) 1 Washington St., 1890-91, late Italianate. This building and the surrounding sidewalks and grounds took three years to prepare and build, using three different contractors and granite from the Bluehill Granite Co.
