SARDINE CARRIERS, C.1925! Photo in our collections that shows four sardine carriers rafted together along the Eastport, Maine waterfront. The carrier second from left from the wharf is the Patrol. Photo dates to about 1925. While there is no photographer's name on the back or front of the photo, the photo is likely the work of Fred Milliken as it is very similar in style and age as many other named photos by him in our collections.

Check the PMM database. This is either Milliken or Elden who came up from Portland to do a story. I recall something about a strike.
