168Description
9R Water Street is a typical sardine workers cottage constructed circa 1900 based on framing (conventional) and a Victorian style staircase with turned spindles. While the first floor was opened up in the 1990’s to create water views, the original victorian staircase and second floor layout remains. The window locations on the non-water sides are original as well. A shed dormer was added facing the water when it was converted from being a woodworking shop to a summer rental. 9R appears to be the last ‘second’ house left in the south end.
