Name/Title
3 Shackford Street, Eastport, Maine | I7-0D4-14/14A | District #18Entry/Object ID
018Description
This one and half story house likely dates to about 1840. It does not appear on the 1835 Map of Eastport. It is very similar to the house at 7 Shackford Street, making it likely that they both were built at the same time and by the same builder. It has a gable end roof with chimneys at each end and rests on a brick foundation. The front facade has five bays and a center doorway with surrounding trim that suggests a Greek Revival style. The house currently is undergoing extensive restoration.
