Booklet given to Tides Institute by Joyce Emery Kinney of Eastport who writes in an accompanying note to the booklet:
"Somewhere I have a letter from Le Baron Cooke's friend, thanking my father R.C. Emery, for the publicity he gave Cooke's poetry.
"His friend also said he planned to give a painting or photograph of the poet to Eastport's library.
"However the 'arty' group at the library did not recognize the value of Cooke's poetry and looked down on Cooke because the poet came from South End.
"I think the portrait was given, but consigned to the cellar.
