Looking south on Water Street at Bank Square in Eastport, Maine. Photograph dates to about 1890 after buildings were rebuilt following the Great Fire of October 14, 1886, but before the Peavey Memorial Library building was built in 1893. The cast iron water fountain that was installed in 1889 can be seen at the bottom left of the photograph.
