La Sardina Loca Mexican Restaurant Sign. Restaurant was located on the first floor of the Masonic Hall block in downtown Eastport, Maine. Sign was painted by Martha "Marty" Howbert and likely dates to 1990. La Sardine Loca ran from June 15, 1990 to September, 2006. Sign measures approximately 30" wide by 38" high. Gift to the Tides Institute in 2026 by the estate of Chuck and Val Maggiani who ran and operated the restaurant.
