The Very Honorable H. Earle Russell, American Consular, Rome, Italy
My dear Sir,
A few days ago, your letter and my dear brother's letter reached me and I only wish I could tell you how much I appreciate your wonderful kindness in finding my dear (half-brothers) for me.
If you [only] could have seen my joy and gratitude when I read your letter, you would, I am sure feel rewarded for your trouble.
Now the only way I can show my gratitude to you for the great joy your letter brought me is to say a little prayer for you occasionally and ___ from the depth of my greatful heart I say - May God Bless you
Gratefully yours
Mrs. Leo Maestri.Transcriber
