Description
View looking west-northwest on what is now Highway 412 in Tontitown, Arkansas. At left is Smith schoolhouse that existed when the Italian settlers first arrived in 1898 at what would become Tontitown, Arkansas. The parishioners met there for church and soon built the first St. Joseph's parish church, visible further down the road. Now Barrington separates the two buildings.
