Scope and Content

Items found in collection in 2024/2025. The paper introducing this collection of 29 photographs mentions a Roberta "Birdie" Thomas Wiseman. Research finds this couple moving from Texas to Tontitown, Arkansas area between 1930 and 1940. Mention in papers is made of Jewell Wiseman who married a Malone. Most of the photos seem to be of the extended family of Roberta and husband Glen. One of the photos is from Samarjian Studio in Quannah, Texas, which is roughly 9 miles from Goodlett where we see Wisemans in a census. Judging from the notes, they seem to have some connection with Rudy Costa of Tontitown. Mention is made of a Christmas card from Rudy Costa (which is not amongst the photos or papers), and it looks like the notes say, "Glenn and Birdie Wiseman raised the boy [Rudy]." It is unclear which photos belongs with which descriptor.
