Donald Mackenzie, Toronto (Moderator of the Presbytery of Hamilton); from Daniel Allan; dated: London, 31st August 1837; re: wants withdrawal of contract to preach in St. Thomas, he cites language difficulties as he is not well versed in Gaelic and cannot preach in that language; postmarks: red double broken manuscript "LONDON Sept..."; unbleached paper; black ink; tightly written; red wafer seal.
