Description

.1: Quill knife with rosewood handle in teardrop shape; with wide rut down centre of each side; steel blade marked "RODGERS CUTLERS TO HIS MAJESTY" on one side, marked "SHEFFIELD ENGLAND" on other; with hallmarks above .2: case for .1 with separate lid; cardboard covered with chestnut-brown leather; stamped "JOSEPH RODGERS & SONS"; area under lid is painted yellow; stamp on lid of flower; circa 1840.
