.1: Quill cutter with ivory sides; silver and steel cutter; fold out steel blade; silver stamped "LONDON" on one side and "PATENT" on other; seven pins; five screws .2: Case with separate lid; cardboard covered with maroon leather on outside; blue fabric under lid; red, white, and blue interior; stamped with "HILL & SON 4 HAYMARKET S.W." in gold on lid; circa 1830.
