Description

Desk writing set; ebony; kidney-shaped base on three cast pewter feet; ring handle also contains candleholder; five openings in top contain: pewter sander; removeable kidney-shaped pewter-lined container for seals, wax, etc.; glass inkwell and pewter lid; two red-dyed quills; and a purple-black candle; circa 1860-1875; .5, .6, .7 not contemporary.
