One face proof of Bank of Upper Canada one dollar banknote; in colour of issue (green tint on white with black print); mounted on white card; at centre bottom: "American Bank Note Company"; serial # and date not filled in; unsigned; note in pencil on reverse; vignettes: bottom left: seated "Justice", centre: St. George slaying the dragon, bottom right: seated Britannia with crest of Upper Canada; punch (x4) cancel at bottom; issue of 1859 and 1861.
