Postal scale; on footed mahogany base with bevelled edges; two brass trays - one flat oval, on bevelled circular - each supported by two brass arms; one arm on right marked "WARRENTED ACCURATE"; three insets in base for weights with remnants of velvet-type material in each; weights included are as follows: 4 oz bright, brass (.2.1); 2 oz with deep inset at top (.2.2); 2 oz (.2.3); 1 oz with deep inset at top (.2.4); 1/2 oz with deep inset at top (.2.5); c. 1830-40.
