Description

Lap desk; mahogany veneer; four brass corners; brass faceplate; no lock; two brass hinges; green woven material glued onto bottom; interior writing surface is slanted and covered in blue velvet; two storage compartments under each half of the writing surface; three compartments at top of writing surface; two include wooden pen troughs which are concave on one side; third compartment includes a non-original glass inkwell with loose brass cap; circa 1850.
