Description

Round brass uniform button, made for a General Post Office uniform. Two piece construction; front convex brass plate, impressed with ornate lettering 'GPO' and a bevel edge; back concave brass plate sits inside the front plate, with impressed lettering "Hammond & co Newcastle Staff". Two holes are punched through the back plate with a metal ring attached through holes.
